Commissioner Geyer
Kimberly Geyer is a 1984 graduate of Butler County Community College. Kim worked for eleven years as a flight attendant for USAir, Inc. while running a small business. Soon after, she became a business owner with her husband, Bob, running a successful residential and commercial building business called Geyer Construction & Development, LLC.
Kim served on the Mars School Board for twelve years and as president for six years. Prior to school board service, Kim was a grassroots education activist at the state level in Harrisburg. The demand for her legislative policy activity resulted in her entrepreneurial consulting services known as Mars Research & Retrieval Services.
Kim serves as an ex officio on the Butler County Community College Board of Trustees. Kim previously served two terms on the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges. In Butler County, Kim serves on the Butler County 4H Development Board, the Butler County Conservation District, the Pittsburgh Butler Regional Airport Authority, and Butler County’s Farmland Preservation Board.
At the State level, Kim currently serves as Chairman of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania’s CCAP Energy, Environment, and Land Use Committee. She also serves on CCAP’s Executive Board of Directors, CCAP’s Resolutions & Policy Committee, and Governance Committee. In addition, Kim has served over the past ten years as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Republican Caucus of County Commissioners.
At the federal level, Kim frequently travels to Washington D.C. to advocate and work with legislators on both sides of the aisle for Butler County issues pertaining to federal transportation funding, PA Southwest Regional Issues, and America First issues.
Kim worked in Butler County government for four years prior to becoming a county commissioner herself in 2016. She is beginning her third term as county commissioner. Kim has been inducted into three different Sports Hall of Fames and has received numerous local, county, and regional-wide recognitions.
Kim and her husband, Bob, reside on a farm in Adams Township with their English Bulldog named Dozer. Kim and Bob have two adult children who are married, and they and their families reside in Adams Township. She has four grandchildren.
