What to Expect & How to Vote at Polls

In 2019 the voters of Butler County began using new voting machines, the ES&S DS200 voting system. All voters maintain the option to use the ES&S Express Vote Ballot Marking Device to complete their ballot rather than using a paper ballot. Please use the links to educate and prepare yourself on this system.

Using the DS 200

All Butler County voters scan their completed ballots and cast their votes using the DS200. Please read the guide referenced or view the Instructional video on how to vote using the ES&S DS200.

Express Vote

This machine can make adjustments for visual or auditory needs. Once you have finished voting, a ballot will print for you and you will use the DS200 to scan your ballot and cast your vote.
